Sant'Ambrogio Market

Hours: Monday-Saturday 7-14.
This visit is a must in the morning. This is a real market, frequented by Florentine housewives and very few tourists who want to take home a piece of real life. A place full of sounds, voices and colors.
The central building of the marketplace, decorated in floral style wrought iron, there are fixed benches with meat, fish, cheese, salami. There are even two typical Jewish Koscer butchers.
In the area before the main entrance there are greengrocers trolleys: here the cries of merchants trying to attract customers, are a sight to behold.
Another show is given by nature colors, season dependant, in turn dominated by yellows, reds, greens and browns.
Counters arranged along the side of the main building you may find clothes, shoes, toys and countless other trivial things. The sale of such merchandise is carried traveling merchants, so be advised that you will not be able to return a purchased item.
